I absolutely love coming here because its my home away from home. The staff are so outgoing and attentive to any questions or concerns. The delicious fresh muffins danishes in the morning are my addiction! Also down to earth great kitchen staff. The rooms are always clean and pristine and the beds are very comfortable. The cleaning staff take their time to ensure the room is absolutely clean. My attendant Nusrat - really went out of her way and made sure everything was perfect for me. She was exceptionally helpful and had a wonderful personality This whole staff is becoming my family!!!! Thank you Monte Carlo OAKVILLE

We got everything we expected from this 3 star hotel. The only downside was there was no true thermostat - we had to turn the heat on and off throughout the night. Other than that we were satisfied with our stay.

Great room with 2 Queen beds, clean, AC/Heat working well, work desk, TV with lots of options, clean bathroom, and LARGE closets to use. In room safe, and microwave. Located JUST off the QEW, grocery stores, shopping, and pharmacies all-round. Close to a few ice rinks for tournaments.

So I recently attended a Marriage Enrichment Retreat held at the Monte Carlo Inn, Oakville. My room was a queen bed suite, very clean, roomy, with mini fridge and very comfortable bed. I had a very comfortable sleep. The service staff at this location is very attentive, courteous and friendly. The continental breakfast was a bonus. It’s always very helpful and convenient to have a facility that offers breakfast during your stay to make your morning run smooth. The wifi service was also excellent with minimal connection steps. Very much needed nowadays. The location is also excellent being so close to Oakville Place Mall and also Oakville downtown. Where visitors to downtown who appreciate heritage buildings and waterfront scenery will enjoy this visit. An excellent stay at Monte Carlo Inn, Oakville

I stayed at this inn in Oakville for three nights on a weekday and got a very good deal. I had seen the building before and, honestly, the exterior is quite outdated and has that typical “sad inn” look, so my expectations were very low—especially arriving on a quiet weekday afternoon in crummy weather. That said, the inside was better than I expected. Still dated, but clean and generally well kept. The front desk staff were not overly welcoming like some other reviews mentioned, but they were not rude or disrespectful either. Very much all business—no small talk—but they did their job and that was fine with me. In contrast, a few of the cleaning staff I encountered were genuinely kind and friendly, which stood out in a positive way. The room itself was clean and bright and didn’t feel like a typical dated inn room. The overall grey-toned wallpaper and decor, paired with a grey-blue accent wall, gave it a somewhat modern feel. One concern I had going in—based on multiple reviews—was the pillows. I usually dislike hotel pillows and often travel with my own because they’re too firm or too high and cause neck pain. I almost packed mine this time but decided against it due to limited luggage space, and I’m glad I did. I tried a few different pillows during my stay and found them all comfortable. The bedding and linens were also comfortable, though not the crisp, starched, hotel-quality type. Instead, they felt more like staying in a friend’s guest room—soft, comfortable, and homey. The same goes for the towels. The bathroom was another plus. The bathtub is a seamless one-piece style with no nooks or crannies, which makes it easier to keep clean. I stayed on the 4th (top) floor and was pleasantly surprised by the water pressure. Hot water was instant, properly hot, and the cold water was actually cold. One downside is soundproofing—it’s quite poor. Thankfully, I didn’t have overly noisy neighbors, but I could hear actual conversations, including phone calls, from the room next door at night. I didn’t get a chance to use the gym, but it’s small and has only a few machines. From what I could see, it looked clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast: bagels, toast, butter, jam, pastries like croissants, muffins, and danishes. I had a croissant and a muffin, and both were fresh and tasty. There were also cut-up fruits and flavored yogurt available. Overall cleanliness was decent, though not squeaky clean. I did notice some loose hairs in the room and older dust on lampshades and in hidden corners. That said, nothing felt dirty where I needed to place my belongings, and it didn’t bother me. One more downside: I chose this location for its proximity to the nearby plaza with Shoppers, Whole Foods, Indigo, etc. However, from the inn to about 500 meters out, there’s no sidewalk—unless it was completely hidden under snow. With the rainy, muddy weather, walking to reach a proper sidewalk wasn’t pleasant. If you have a car, this won’t be an issue. Overall, it really felt like staying in a friend’s guest room—nice, clean, a comfortable bed, and clean towels. Not perfectly clean, but everything was decent and comfortable. If you go in with realistic expectations, it offers good value for the price.
